Ruth Greuel – Ph.D.

pic2Ruth is working towards a PhD studying nutrient cycling and grazing ecology on Sable Island, NS. Ruth completed her Bachelor of Science (Environment and Conservation Sciences-bilingual, majoring in Conservation Biology) at the University of Alberta in 2013, and her Master of Science on the abundance of terricolous caribou forage lichen in northern Saskatchewan in spring 2017. She has also worked on several plant- and bird-related projects across Canada. Her main research interests lie in herbivore-plant interactions, grassland and arctic ecology, nutrient dynamics and stable isotope applications. Ruth enjoys fieldwork, hiking, knitting, and cooking.
